Celestial Explorer Mechanical Orrery

Bring the Solar System to Life

The Celestial Explorer is a mechanical orrery kit that builds a wooden solar system model with all 8 planets orbiting the sun. Turn the hand crank and the planets rotate in motion, no batteries required, making this 3D astronomy puzzle both a display piece and a hands-on learning model.

A Universe of Features

• Hand-Crank Motion: A single handle drives all 8 planets around the sun with no batteries needed.
• Precision Wooden Pieces: 316 CO2 laser-cut parts with tolerances controlled to within five microns for smooth assembly.
• Detailed Globe: A 25 mm magnifying glass reveals the map detail, with gothic-letter engraving for a vintage look.
• Smooth Rotation: A wave-wheel activation structure gives each turn of the celestial bodies a tactile feel.

Available Sizes
